MORE THAN CMYK by

The portfolio collects forty most typical creations since my university years in Commercial Design department. Commercial cases and personal works of images, layout, printing, photography, illustration, websites and packaging are included.
Five years ago in a classroom discussion, one of our professors raised a direct but difficult to answer question: “What is design?” After many years of work, my answer won’t be as simple as before. Currently in Taiwan, small and medium enterprises account for 97% of business activities, with an average short life cycle of 13.5 years. This primarily results from the lack of concept of innovation and sustainability. Taiwan’s design industry is not as mature as the situation in neighboring courtiers like Japan and Korea, and often faces high pressure of competition due to frequent economic fluctuations. My ideal work model is a flexibly structured team consisted of professionals from different specialized fields includes media design, music creation, film making and copywriting etc., and it could be functionally fully capable of providing creative solutions to deal with real challenges in life.
Such ideal collaborate pattern will help me conquer the chanllenges of design but also spur me to create more valuable pieces containing more than themselves. They will be far more meaningful than “CMYK”.
